Resolve Wild Yam Cream: The Natural Solution

    The Debate

Wild yam or synthesized (USP) progesterone? This doesn’t seem like a very hard question, but there are those who are heavily promoting the use of USP progesterone in their products.

These products claim to elevate the levels of progesterone in blood serum and unproven saliva tests. These tests merely indicate the amount of unused progesterone in the blood stream. We believe in supplying the proper nutritional building blocks, diosgenin and saponins, so that the body can manufacture its own progesterone naturally.

What if diosgenin or saponins from the wild yam are transferred to progesterone at or near the cell receptor site? The body would acquire what it needs without any waste, thus not showing any excess in the blood.

Many of the manufacturers and the spokesmen of these other products infer that there is no value or benefit to giving wild yam extract transdermally. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have a success ratio that would make them envious. In fact, we firmly believe that they do a disservice by confronting women with a drug. Now the body has to deal with a drug, leaving it with little or no options on how to use it.

If using wild yam transdermally is of no value or benefit, then why do many of the progesterone creams available use wild yam along with USP progesterone in their formulas? It makes you wonder.

By adding USP progesterone to a product a manufacturer can place the words “progesterone” and “hormone” on their labels. Is this really for the benefit of the consumer?

Resolve contains no USP progesterone, never has and never will!

The FDA field guide states that no manufacturer of skin care products can put in their products more USP progesterone than that which would provide 10 mg/month. If more is used it becomes a drug product, and the FDA does not approve any amount of USP progesterone because it has not been tested for safety or effectiveness.

The latest turn of events in the USP Progesterone craze is to see who can put the most in a jar of cream. What started as a few milligrams per jar has now exploded into hundreds, sometimes thousands, of milligrams per jar. Does the use of more drugs equal better results? We don’t think so.

    Something Else to Think About:

Several customers have sent copies of a newsletter they received titled “Helping One Another.” The following is a good question about the use of USP or “natural” progesterone.

Remember, Resolve contains no USP progesterone, only nutritional building blocks that let your body make its own hormonal decisions.

    John E. Hahn, D.P.M., N.D
Question:I’ve been using a progesterone cream to help my hot flashes and my night sweats. Are there any bad reactions that could happen using this hormone cream topically?

Answer:Daily use of topical progesterone cream for even one month can elevate active cortisol from your adrenal glands. The progesterone absorbed from the cream, in excess of what the body can break down each day, kicks cortisol off the binding protein. Cortisol not bound to protein is active and excess active cortisol can have the following detrimental health affects: Muscle loss and accelerated aging of the skin. Excess cortisol promotes osteoporosis, reduces the function of NK (natural killer) cells which increases the susceptibility to cancer cells. Increased cortisol reduces thyroid function.

My family doctor recently recommended wild yam cream as a remedy for severe menopausal symptoms. He said that Resolve was the best quality product that he knew of. The improvement is nothing short of amazing! The hair on my scalp has stopped falling out, while the hair on my face has stopped growing in. Resolve has brought back restful sleep and has virtually ended my hot flashes. Incidentally, my husband no longer has hot flashes at night—I don’t throw the covers onto him anymore! This product has greatly improved my quality of life.…..Toni in Wisconsin

Application: Excerpts from “Resolve: The Key To Hormonal Balance” Dianne Farley -Jones, MD

“The application of Resolve is quite simple, and there are just a few things to keep in mind so that it will be most effective.”

“It is not a drug, and you cannot overdose on it. Wild yam is most usefully taken in a skin cream, where it can be readily absorbed by the body, and the important elements carried directly to the cells where they are needed.”

“The first month’s application should be the heaviest as the phytochemistry attempts to arrest the symptoms of estrogen dominance and raise the absorption rate of the cream.”

“The initial treatment is typically two jars in four weeks time. That is two weeks per jar, and approximately one half of the first jar should be used by the end of the first week. Each application will be about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (two finger tips), and should be applied twice daily. In some instances a women might want to continue this rate of application until she has rid herself of a particular condition or symptom. When balance is achieved the women can begin cutting back the amount she is using until she knows how much it takes to keep her where she wants to be. The right dose is the one that works.”

“Resolve can be applied to any smooth skin area of the body. The upper legs and arms, or upper chest, neck and abdomen work fine. Many women enjoy smoothing it into the face, using the skin cream as a moisturizer.”

“It is essential that a woman starting the use of the cream do so faithfully.”
